Sept 10 NCAAF

September 10, 2011

3 games I thought about Playing, but just couldn’t pull the trigger and decided to be conservative  & Just Play my Best Bets this early in season.

Auburn +5.5

Cinci +4.5

SC/Georgia UNDER 52

UNLV/Wisconsin UNDER 56

September 1, 2011

This Plays is for Opinion only ! I knew with NCAAF kicking off Tonight, there would be some guys with some great desire for a little action Tonight.

So Here Goes my Mad Dog Russo Gun to Your Head Who You Playing.

My feeling is that although UNLV defense is no match for Wisconsin, with Wisconsin breaking in new QB Russell Wilson from NCst. Wisconsin will use this game like a NFL exhibition gm and try to get QB Wilson use to the Wisconsin scheme. Keep in mind Wisconsin has a game with Oregon st next week and won’t divulge too much of the playbook and might look to rest their starters in a blowout. I predict UNLV will score somewhere between 13-17, add 30 (where line started) and we get a gm total of 47.

GOOD LUCK PLAY UNDER &PRAY

NFL Pre Season Play

August 13, 2011

Giants +2
Free Picks
New York Giants vs. Carolina Panthers (NFL)
Aug 13, 2011 8:00 PM EDT
Play: Point Spread: 2.0/100 New York Giants
Play Title: Saturday Night NFL
I’m carefully picking my spots this PreSeason and being a contrarian Tonight playing on the Giants. Old School PreSeason handicapping theory dictates playing on New Coaches First games (Rivera Carolina). However, the season hasn’t even kicked off yet for the Giants and there’s already controversy, where Giants GM Reese had to have a press conference and explain his lack of signing Free Agents. Although Giant starters will only play 2-3 series, the Giants have a big edge in depth & QB rotation. Giant QB’s are Manning, Sage Rosenfels, and David Carr. All 3 players know the offense and the system. On Carolina side of the ball Jimmy Clausen gets the start and Cam Newton will get playing time with the first string. A New offense & defense system for Carolina players with only 10 days of practice. We saw how good a Rookie QB played making his first start in the NFL last night with Dalton and the Bengals. Also watch for the other Charlie Scott to put some #’s up at RB in the 4th quarter. Giants are the better team with motivation getting points !

Sunday OCT 3 NFL FREE Play

September 9, 2010

    Texans -3 @ Oakland

I played the Texans -3 in the Hilton Contest and feel that the Texans will bounce back from their Cowboy loss last week and take advantage of a weak Raider pass defense. Look for a shootout in Oakland !

Earlier in the week, I had planned to bet this game myself and release it as a play to members at www.charliescottsports.com. I mean what’s not to like- this game fits every handicapping system. The Dog (Vikings) have revenge from their last game last season that sent the Vikings home. The Saints have the famed Super Bowl Hangover. Old School Football handicapping theory says to look for Dogs with the better running game and defense, that again would be the Vikings. However, the Vikings have a 40- year old Drama Queen QB with 2 weeks of training camp and a bum ankle. There lies the reason why I just can’t pull the trigger on the Vikings. I just don’t have confidence and  any idea of what to expect from the Drama Queen. Am I putting too much thought into this game ? Probably ! So if you are a recreational bettor looking for some action on opening night, I recommend the Vikings +5.5, but if you’re looking to pay your mortgage on tonight’s game I recommend taking a PASS and calling Obama. Good Luck !

NFL Pre Season Strategy

August 14, 2010

When doing research on teams and player rotations for the PreSeason, keep in mind coaches don’t always tell the truth. Using Sat Aug 14  Browns @GB as an example : Packers Coach said QB Rogers would play a series or 2. In reallity Rogers played well into the second quarter. Browns Coach Mangini said Delhomme would play the first quarter and Seneca Wallace the second. In reallity rookie QB Colt McCoy was in the game with 7 minutes left in the second quarter and played terrible.

It feels like it’s been Years since we Won my Super Bowl play with Saints/Colts UNDER. I like most of you guys have the Football Action Jones and can’t wait for kickoff tonight Sat August 14. However, keep in mind that Pre Season is not as profitable as it once was for bettors. The Bookmakers have also learned how to use the internet for information and will move numbers on the fly. So unless your Fezzik and your beating the Bookmakers to the number, bet accordingly. Tonights bet size for me is 1/6  the size of my Super Bowl wager.

Keep in mind what the Great Russ Culver said when questioned about playing Pre Season games. The Players who decide your bet in the Pre Season, won’t have anything to do with their teams  outcomes in games during  the regular season. With all that said/ written GO BROWNS !

Golden Nugget NCAAF Games of the Year

June 16, 2010

Kudos go out to  Golden Nugget’s Sports Book Boss Tony Miller who is the first Bookmaker I know of, to post Early lines on 200 College Football Games for the 2010 season. It’s nice to know that  there’s 1 Bookmaker that isn’t scared to take action on his opinions  ! While in Vegas I recommend stopping in at the Nuggets Sports Book because Tony will put his opinion into the line instead of just copying the line like other Vegas Sportsbooks.

Lines were Posted June 10. Players would be wise to refer back to this page during the season to check on the linemoves throughout the season !
