Here’s some Plays for todays Belmont, we’re 0-2 for this Years  Triple Crown.

Charlie’s Plays are :

#6 Ice Box – favorite, came in 2nd in Kentucky Derby and skipped the Preakness. Currently 3-1, some experts have stated that anything over 2-1 is a steal with this horse.

#7 Drosselmeyer- Has well respected NY trainer Bill Mott and Mike Smith on as jockey. Nice price has finished #2,3, and 4 in 3 races.

Will play Win and Exacta Box.

#7 Lookin at Lucky- Has the talent and is due to have a good ride without getting into trouble one of these races. *Note Jockey change !

#10 Paddy O’Prado- Has been consistently in the money, Jockey Desormeaux is a plus.

#12 Dublin- sire of Afleet Alex, quality horse with Lucas as trainer and at 10-1 a nice price.

“Uncle Bob” is a buddy of mine that knows horses ! If he didn’t , I wouldn’t post his plays on my website ! In last Years triple crown racing I believe his Horse computer program hit 3 out of 4 in the Preakness and the Belmont. With that said we played in a Horse handicapping tournament last week at nhcqualify.com and didn’t fare well.

Charlie Scott’s strategy for this Years Kentucky Derby is with a sloppy track expected, and no clear cut favorite play long shots and hope you get lucky.

Although Charlie is just a recreational bettor when it comes to the ponies he likes #5 Line of David- Good past performances, but the handicapping pro’s say Line of David had bad workout’s during the week.

I just wanted to pass some thoughts on the Viking/Saints total of 53.5.  I think if your going to play this total the only way to go is UNDER. If you take a look at playoff history a majority of the games with totals of 50 or higher go UNDER ! I considered this play for most of the week, but backed off because of the pitfalls of being a public handicapper. I had AZ/Saints Under 57 last week and lost and it was a bad bet, I was afraid if I gave out todays Under to clients and it went flying Over I would piss off customers.

In NCAAB today take a look at Pitt +3 at Seton Hall. Seton Hall doesn’t play well with physical teams and doesn’t play well in a half court game, all Pitts style. Seton Hall plays lousy defense that should give Pitt plenty of layups.

W        Dallas/Minnesota UNDER 45.5- I don’t have big enough faith in this play to charge for it on my website, but do feel the Under is the right side and a decent play, and feel obligated to give something out since it is the Playoffs. The Cowboys do have a very good underrated defense who is playing well, and an offense that can run the ball and throw screens and intermediate passes. However, the Cowboys lack a big threat on offense. For this reason and the Cowboys being a public team the Boys have gone Under 8 of their last 10 games. The Vikings also had 6 straight Unders and then their last 2 games of the season went Over.  With the extra week off, expect a little rust from the Vikings to start the game, since most of their offense is based on timing. This total started at 48 and got bet down by the sharps or wiseguys. If I could get 47 or 48 this would definitely be a play. Good Luck !

W                    Florida st/West Virginia Under 59.5

Florida States defense is bad, however they are good athletes with speed and have had time to prepare, get motivated (Bowdens last game), and recover from injuries. West Virginia’s offense isn’t a throw the ball down the field every down like Auburns, WV prefers to run the ball, throw intermediate passes and get first downs. On defense WV plays a bend, but don’t break style, letting opponents move the ball and then tightening up around the 20yd line. WV is favored and should set the pace, WV has only had 1 game  (Auburn) go over 60 points all season. The highest total set by the oddsmaker on WV games all season was 56.5. The oddsmaker made the total 65 for Florida st/NCst, but most of the Seminole totals were in the mid 50′s. This total is inflated because it’s a squares public/media dream New Years Bowl game being Bowden’s last game !

L                                Northwestern/Auburn UNDER  55

   I had this Under play on my radar when the Bowl lines first came out. I have gone back and forth since then, and the truth is, if I was running hot this would be a play. My one concern is Northwesterns speed on defense.

My Best bet of the day was going to be the Texans +3.  I know alot of sharps  were on this play, however the public has also jumped on the Texans knocking the line all the way down to +1, taking away all value.
